You won’t want to miss My Heart Is over There!, a Second World War musical comedy featuring those great songs that lifted the nation’s spirit.
On the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the Beach Street Players directed by Gloria Herauf, once again take to the stage to present this heart-warming show. From “CJOV Comox Radio Station” and RCAF Station Comox (as our Airforce Base was called in 1942), to the overseas show with Bob Hope and the Andrews Sisters, My Heart Is over There! ss filled with fun and laughter. It features favourite songs of the 1940s including Chattanooga Choo Choo, I’ll Be Seeing You, Thanks For The Memory, Boogie Boogie Bugle Boy and many more. There is something to please everyone in true Have a Heart style.
Performances take place in the Comox United Church, 250 Beach Drive over two weekends:
Feb. 6, 7, 8 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 15 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are available at Benjamin Moore House of Color in Courtenay and Blue Heron Books in Comox. The Early Bird price is $20 to Jan. 11 and $25 afterwards. Remember, they make great Christmas gifts! Don’t delay as tickets sell quickly.
