Chris Buck spent his early days growing up in Ontario and eventually made his way out west.
In 2006, the singer-songwriter dropped everything he was doing and left for Australia to clear his mind.
He lived in Perth in western Australia for a year and a half, where he spent the majority of his time writing and composing music.
The Chris Buck Band (Branden, Jesse, Mike, Nick and Torban) was formed in August 2008.
What started as a traditional country sound has now evolved into a groovy reggae/country style.
This young band members in their mid-20s are looking forward to playing at the Rockin River Fest and opening for Travis Tritt in September.
Their first song they ever recorded, Okay, was played on more than 38 stations across Canada in its first two weeks in 2009.
They are in studio working on their new flavourful album, Buck Naked. They have also played at the BCCMA industry awards, Cloverdale Rodeo, Gabby's, Boone County and other various functions/festivals.
The Chris Buck Band will play at the Norwood Barn Dance on June 11. Doors open at 8 p.m.
