The free Simms Park summer concert series features MoonShine, a rockin’ country band, on Sunday, June 23 at 7 p.m.

Known for their energetic country dance parties and tight musicianship, MoonShine has been playing country music since they started in 2018 in the Comox Valley.

The band consists of four seasoned pros: Britt Hibbert, guitar and vocals, Jim Papp, guitar and vocals, Don Vinette, bass and vocals, and Mike Berman, drums and vocals.

With their own musical styles, and dynamic vocals and harmonies, MoonShine has played to many audiences — at local festivals, community events, and various venues all over Vancouver Island. If you’re a two-stepper or a line dancer, get ready to party and bring your dancing boots.

Simms Millennium Park is located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
