April is National Poetry Month, and Downtown Courtenay merchants are getting involved once again.

For the second year,Downtown Courtenay is putting together its Poetry Walk.

Enjoy the work of 32 local poets, hand-painted on shop windows by local artist Kelly Everill throughout 4th, 5th and 6th streets, as well as Cliffe Avenue and Duncan Avenue.

The League of Canadian Poets has chosen Weather as 2024’s theme, and the Downtown Courtenay Business Improvement Association has tasked poets to create something weather-related for each window. The poems have been split evenly, with eight for each season.

Thanks to Artful : The Poets for their group’s contributions.

Take a walk through the seasons and enjoy the poems while you enjoy Downtown Courtenay throughout the month of April.
