Country music star Dean Brody will bring his hit songs to Nanaimo

While celebrating the biggest years of his career, a multi-platinum country music star will stop in Nanaimo as he tours the nation.

According to a release, since Dean Brody’s debut single Brothers hit the U.S. top 40 in 2008, the singer has become one of Canada’s most beloved country artists.

The singer’s passion for storytelling, coupled with his lyrical mastery, have catapulted him to the top of the Canadian country music landscape, noted the release. Brody remains at the top of his game with 34 top 10 singles, 18 Canadian Country Music Association awards, two Junos, more than 425 million global streams and numerous gold and platinum certified singles.

In 2021, not only did Brody land his sixth and seventh No. 1 hits at Canadian country radio with duets Boys featuring Mickey Guyton and More Drinkin’ Than Fishin with Jade Eagleson, but he also secured his 18th CCMA award for Can’t Help Myself featuring The Reklaws, which landed him Top Selling Canadian Single.

Last year saw the singer land his eighth No. 1 track with Where’d You Learn How to Do That, a Juno award nomination for Country Album of the Year, and his first triple-platinum single with Bring Down the House.

According to the release, Brody dedicates a large part of his life to philanthropic efforts through his charity, the Dean Brody Foundation.
