Since Linda Faye Campbell McLean published her book, "Route 1-75 - Memoir & Musings from My 75-Year Road Trip" last year, several readers encouraged her to "get your stories out there more."

After researching possibilities McLean decided to record stories from her memoir in podcast format. The first episode of "My 75-Year Road Trip" was released on Spotify on Jan.1, and new episodes will follow each week.

"My head exploded the last couple of months," McLean says, as she learned how to record, edit, and splice tracks on her Mac's Garageband app, then save in a podcast format on a host platform, and finally publish on Spotify. "What a high learning curve and I made tons of mistakes. But when I figured it out, this project shifted into a fun and exciting experience."

By sharing her memoir writings, McLean hopes that others will discover their own strengths, spirit, and resilience, know they're not alone in their travels, and perhaps be motivated to even write their own story.

Listeners can access McLean's podcast on their Spotify account.

"I wanted to have a no-cost, no-ads podcast, and this was the best route," said McLean.

McLean can be contacted at Route175Memoir@shaw.ca.
