A reading of Roz MacLean’s new book, ‘Together, a Forest: Drawing Connections Between Nature’s Diversity and Our Own’ is part of Cumberland Community Forest's Earth Week Festival programming.

The event will take place on April 23 at 4 p.m. in Smol Store's (formerly Little Village) new location at 2704 Dunsmuir in Cumberland. The event is also supported by the Building Connections for Valley Families Project, the Cumberland Community Schools Society.

The book reading, art activities, snacks and time for discussion will all be offered at this free all ages event.

The book’s reading level is for four to eight years, but all ages are welcome. This story explores the parallels between human and natural diversity while illuminating the ecology of old growth forests.
