Since launching her international touring career in 2021, Angela Verbrugge has performed everywhere from T眉rkiye to Taiwan, Germany to Japan, and across nearly every province in Canada. On April 13, she performs at 40 Knots Winery at 1:30 p.m.
A 2024 Western Canadian Music Award nominee for Jazz Artist of the Year, she has also been recognized as Best Female Vocalist in the JazzTimes Readers鈥� Poll and praised by top critics. Her recordings have garnered a worldwide following, with over 600,000 Spotify streams.
Known for her original compositions and deeply expressive style, she collaborates with top-tier musicians both at home and abroad, including Tony Genge, Attila Fias, Terry Clarke and Ray Gallon. This past year she graced the stages of the Victoria and Nanaimo Jazz Festivals, further cementing her reputation as one of Canada鈥檚 most exciting jazz voices.
