A reimagined telling of Dracula, by Allan Stratton - 鈥淒racula: Nightmare of the Dead鈥� is coming to the Sid Williams Theatre from Oct. 2 to 6. The adaptation promises to peel back and reconstruct the original by Bram Stoker with new thrills that may have even spooked Stoker.

The performance is not just a spectator event but also a participation in this gothic retelling. The audience will be transported from the graveyards of Transylvania to the dark corners of Victorian London. 

One of the many twists that come with this retelling, is a female Van Helsing. While horror is in the forefront, the story also goes into deeper themes of Victorian era society鈥檚 feelings around sex and death. 

Director Catherine Hannon invites the audience to delve into these uncomfortable themes and face them head-on.
