Phillips Backyard Festival Series, a two-weekend summer music festival presented by Phillips Brewery, has laid out its 2025 lineup and is letting fans know that prices will not increase this year.
One of the city's biggest summer music events, the series is hosted in the expanded Philips Backyard and highlights local/Canadian acts alongside international hits. There are also plenty of food trucks – including vegetarian and vegan options – and the festival celebrates Phillips' small-batch craft beer.
The festival's first weekend, Tilt, runs July 4-6 and features recognized alternative and rock bands Cold War Kids, Band of Skulls, Two Feet, and indie stars Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Other highlights include G-Eazy, politically charged Indigenous hip hop group Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Polaris/Juno award-winning Haviah Mighty, The Bankes Brothers, Young Friend, Fionn, Murge Live, Steve Bays (Hot Hot Heat), King Bob, Neighbourly and Poncho.
The series returns for Reverb from Aug. 8-10 with , Phantogram, and The Roots. Also Sombr, Borns, Danielle Ponder, Mac Sabbath, Dragonette, King Cruff (Bob Marley's grandson), Uncle Strut, Diamond Cafe, Prado Monroe, Layten Kramer, Vox Rea and Terrell Safadi.
This year, the stage will be raised by two feet to ensure better visibility for attendees.
