Music lovers are invited to get their groove on at Simms Park for some Time Well Wasted.

Time Well Wasted is a dynamic, 10-piece, horn-driven, disco, rock, rhythm and blues band from the Comox Valley. Performing the hits of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bruno Mars, Doobie Brothers, Adele, Shania Twain, Toto, Powder Blues, Chicago, Santana, Aretha Franklin and many more, they have been captivating audiences for more than two decades.

"This is a dance party you won’t want to miss!" a release from the City of Courtenay says.

This leads in to the final installment of the Simms Concert Series. On Aug. 25, Stealing Dan, an ultra-authentic homage to Steely Dan, will be taking the stage. Stealing Dan recently played the main stage at the Vancouver Island MusicFest to rave reviews.

A Food Bank Drive will also be part of the final concert on August 25 and non-perishable food items and cash donations will be accepted.

Simms Millennium Park is located by the 5th Street Bridge and across from Lewis Park. Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket. For concert information please call the Courtenay Recreation Lewis Centre at 250-338-5371 or get updated information at www.courtenay.ca/simms.
