Preparation for the 2023 Fabulous Fabric Sale is underway and once again the Merville Grand Mothers (MGMs) are asking for donations of fabric from the community for our annual sale in September.

We are seeking quality fabric including cottons, jersey, fleece, corduroy, denim as well as specialty fabrics like woollens, silks and satins, upholstery and quilting materials.

Now is the time to clear out the excess fabric from your cupboard and donate to make a difference and help us support grandmothers in sub-Saharan Africa.

The MGMs have been active in the Comox Valley since 2007, finding creative ways of raising funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation, Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, where Canadian grandmothers support African grandmother groups as they continue their work of raising grandchildren and providing leadership in their communities.

Bags of fabric can be dropped off at the Potters Place in Courtenay, 180 5th Street during the summer. We will also arrange pick-up by calling 250 338-1168.

Stay tuned for further announcements later in the summer for details about this fabulous fabric sale.
