Now that renovation at d'Esterre House is finally coming to completion, swing dances by Keith and Holly Foraie that have been held at the Comox Legion will come home to a big, beautiful ballroom at 1801 Beaufort Ave on March 15.

Tuesday classes are taking registrations for the following three one-session workshops at 2:15 p.m.: March 15 for Hustle, March 22 for NightClub, March 29 for Cha-cha. At 3:30 p.m., West Coast Swing Beginner level 2 continues for those who took West Coast Swing before or dance it regularly.

Drop ins are only $10 for one session, or $20 for the remaining 3 workshops for Comox Seniors Association members, $25 for Guests.

Twinkletoes that started International Ballroom Beginner Waltz with Andy Mundy will be able to continue for another 3 sessions at 2:25 p.m. at the upper Courtenay Legion. The second lesson at 3:30 p.m. will be fun and fantastic Quickstep, the easiest international ballroom dance to learn, so similar to Jive which most folks have danced before.

"Trip the light fantastic" is an often used term to describe such a dance as Quickstep, a dance with a lively, happy feel to it and light, running steps and skips.

For Comox Seniors Association members, it's only $10 Drop-In per session, or $20 for the last three sessions in March, $25 for Guests. This includes the half hour practice at the end, Register at least 10 minutes before class.
