Hunters are invited to bring in their skulls, mounts, horns and antlers to the Courtenay and District Fish and Game Protective Association on Feb. 15.
The annual measure up event is being held in mid-February, with the possibility for some to be entered into the Boone and Crockett Record Books.
There will be a $5 measuring fee per entry for non-members. Measurement will be free for members.
"You are welcome to bring interesting antlers or mounts even if not record material for a little show and tell," a release from the association says. "Someone will be interested, and the story begins!"
There is no admittance fee for the viewing public, and friends and family are welcome. Doors open at 9 a.m. and measuring will take place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Doors close at 2 p.m. There will also be a kitchen and bar open throughout the day.
The event will also feature a sporting goods sale for gently-used items such as rods, tackle boxes, downriggers, crossbows and more. All proceeds will go to conservation projects. However, no firearms will be sold at the event.
There will be a door prize draw, as well as a 50/50 draw.
