The upcoming Comox Valley Seniors Expo will offer a wealth of information on many topical issues.
Whether you’re an active senior exploring the world or considering the transition to a senior facility, the Comox Valley Seniors Expo on June 8 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Cumberland Culture Centre is tailored just for you.
Booths and talks cover social, travel, physical, mental, financial/legal, stay-at-home, and assisted living for those over 55 years old.
In addition to the information booths, there will be special presentations going on throughout the day.
10:30-11:30 - An adaptive clothing fashion show.
11:30-12:30 - De-Stressing while selling a home. Whether you’re downsizing, moving to a seniors’ residence, or selling after a death, this workshop will help make the move as stress-free as possible. Come get some tips from checking for treasures, and staging the rooms, to legal advice.
12:30 -1:30 - Jenny Porter speaking on preventing dementia.
1:30-2:30 - Gord John MP for Courtenay-Alberni.
2:30-3:30 Seniors Advocate for BC Dan Levitt will be speaking and answering questions.
