The Comox Valley Schools Grad Class Attire Program has opened its doors for booking fittings and is welcoming donations for the upcoming school year.
The program offers all Grade 12 students from the Comox Valley the opportunity to select and try on an assortment of graduation attire, ensuring that no student has to bear the burden of buying brand-new outfits.
Offering a wide variety of lightly worn suits, dresses, shoes, and accessories, this initiative is sure to cater to the diverse tastes and styles of the students.
To get fitted, students must schedule a 45-minute appointment through the program’s official website at .
The program organizers request that individuals refrain from showing up without an appointment.
The Grad Class Attire Program fitting sessions will be held on selected Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Comox Valley Dodge, located at 278 North Island Highway (formerly Canadian Tire).
The scheduled dates are as follows: Nov. 18, Jan. 20, Feb. 24, April 20, May 4, and May 25.
For those who wish to contribute to this cause, donations are welcomed. Items can be dropped off at G.P. Vanier Secondary School on school days between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., or at Comox Valley Dodge from Monday to Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Financial contributions are also appreciated to help cover the costs of repairing or purchasing any necessary items students may need.
“Interested students should use the new website to book a fitting free of charge,” said organizer Kelley Giorgianni. “There is also a high demand for smaller-sized suits, pants, shirts, and accessories if people have items to donate.”
