A Comox Valley runner has been putting in the miles this December to help save the Puntledge forest.

Runner Kacey Wall has been running all month to raise funds to go towards Comox Valley Land Trust's campaign to raise money to save the Puntledge Forest. To cap off her fundraising, Wall will be running just shy of a marathon in the forest on New Year's Eve. Wall will be joined by other runners and supporters throughout the day.

Wall will start her run at around 8 a.m., and plans to finish at around 2:30 p.m. There will be a support tent set up at the forest trail head parking lot, at 4701 Lake Trail Road.
