web1_240313-cvr-c-cvhort-1_1

On Monday, March 18, Janelle Collett will be the guest speaker at the Comox Valley Horticultural Society’s first in-person meeting of the year.

Special door prizes will also be given as we move from the winter months into spring.

Collett is a gardener, a story-teller and a volunteer at the CVHS. She will talk about gardens in other continents with a particular focus on our native blue camassia - a plant with an interesting history given its connection to Indigenous peoples, agriculture, land development and the transcontinental movement of plants.

To attend in person, the meeting will take place at the conference hall in the Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 7:15 pm.

To attend virtually, advance registration for Zoom is required for both members and non-members. Current members will receive a separate Zoom invitation. Registration for non-members ($5.50) is available at by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15, as it requires two days to process. CVHS 2024 memberships are now available to purchase from our website or download a registration form and mail it in.
