The Auxiliary Society for Comox Valley Healthcare donated $100,000 towards the purchase of a new electric bus for the residents at Providence Living at the Views. Thank you to the many volunteers who donated their time and energy, at the Hospital Gift shop in Courtenay and the Thrift Shop in Comox, in order to make this possible. Watch for this new awesome bus on the streets in the Comox Valley! The Comox Valley Farmers’ Institute presented the Comox Valley Food Bank with a cheque for $5,215, as a result of the Taste of the Valley event held at 40 Knots Winery. “Taste of the Valley” is a Farm to Plate event focused on showcasing, celebrating and drawing attention to Comox Valley agriculture, farms, farmers, processors and the bounty of products produced here while giving back to our community. The event was sold out.
