The 2024 Comox Valley Coldest Night of the Year event takes place on Feb. 24, with organizers’ sights set on a record total.

Last year, close to 576 community members came together to raise over $194,000.

Join us this year for this not-to-be-missed annual family-friendly fundraiser to help families and individuals in our community who are hurting, hungry, experiencing or facing homelessness. This the ninth year of CNOY in the Comox Valley organizers expect more teams, more walkers and $200,000 in raised funds.

Please join staff and friends of event sponsors including presenting sponsor, ̨MM Community Private Wealth, and community sponsors: Richardson Wealth, Waypoint Insurance, Creative Employment Access Society, Chan Nowosad Boates Inc, Mainroad North Island contracting, Courtenay Appliances, Shoreline OrthodonIcs, Hakai Energy SoluIons, Mike Hamilton Logging, Grant Thornton LLP, Cascadia Electric, Pennisula C-op, Budget Blinds, MacDonalds and Plates Eatery.

Funds raised support the Comox Valley Transition Society and Dawn to Dawn Action on Homelessness Society.

“Our community never ceases to amaze us with their generosity,” said Heather Ney, executive director, Comox Valley Transition Society and Richard Clarke, past president of Dawn to Dawn Action on Homelessness Society, in a joint statement. “The need to support those in our community who are hungry, hurting and experiencing homelessness sadly continues to increase, and our community steps up year after year to support. Thank you.”

Participants will be walking together on Feb. 24, 2024, from and to the Native Sons Hall in Courtenay. Enjoy a toasty beverage along the two- or five-kilometre route at the rest stop and celebrate your efforts at the finish line. Participants are also welcome to walk when they want, and with who they want in February. However, you and your team choose to walk this year, have fun, be safe and share the fun by taking photos of you and your team and tagging @cvcnoy on social media.

Participants who raise $150 or more ($75 or more for those 17 years and younger) will receive the 2024 toque! All CNOY details can be found at including how to register, donate and the walk route for this year!
