For more than 25 years, the Comox Valley Citizens on Patrol Society (COPS) has been patrolling and setting up speed watch and distracted driving stations to help keep the community safe.

Throughout the Valley, there are CV COPS signs. In the past, these signs have been sponsored by various companies, societies, clubs, and business owners. The signs are installed by the City of Courtenay, Town of Comox, and the Regional District in various locations. These signs act as a reminder to all that drive by, that the area is monitored by the CVCOPS and show the name of the person or business that has sponsored the signs.

“We have new signs this year and are actively looking for new sponsors for these signs,” said spokesperson Michele Jones in a press release. “If you would like to become a sponsor, please contact us. Our next AGM will be held on Jan. 28, at 1 p.m. If you are interested in becoming a member or would like to attend the AGM, please contact us at cvcops@telus.net or call 250-897-1443.”
