Held during the 13th annual BC Seafood Festival( June 7–16), the first-ever Dock Days celebrates the fun and adventure of living in a seaside community surrounded by some of the most beautiful and pristine waters in Western Canada.
A highlight of the Dock Day weekend is the not-to-be-missed Sailfest, the most exciting sailboat racing ever seen in Canada, being held June 9 from 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
Cheer on your favourite team at the outrigger canoe races, which includes two days of racing for all paddle disciplines and abilities. Saturday events are for OC6 Iron distance races and a brand-new long-course stand up paddleboard (SUP) race. Sunday will include the traditional small boat race – OC1-2, surfski – and a separate SUP technical race right off the Pier at the Comox Marina Park. There will also be a fun race for the kids on Sunday afternoon.
Or, if you’ve never experienced fishing in the Comox Valley area now is your chance to book a spot with Island Pursuit Sport Fishing Charters, who are offering full- and half-day fishing charters during the event.

Enjoy a guided informative walk of the Fisherman’s Wharf, provided by the Comox Valley Harbour Authority. Learn about the commercial fishing industry, stopping at different fishing vessels along the way. Different gear types and fishing methods will be discussed as well as costs associated with being a commercial fisherman and benefits the industry has to the coastal communities.
