November’s Community Champions Gala was a resounding success.
The event raised a total of $32,485 for three Comox Valley social agencies - Dawn to Dawn: Action on Homelessness, Sunday Station and Healing Hearts.
Organizer Carson Grant was thrilled with the success of the event.
“We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the 135 guests who dedicated their Friday evening to engaging in meaningful conversations about crucial community issues,” he said of the Nov. 10 event. “We would also like to thank the three vital non-profits who brought the very essence of their impactful work into the ballroom through meaningful presentations, allowing our guests to understand the significance of their work.”
He also expressed heartfelt appreciation to KFN Elder Ramona Johnson, who opened and welcomed the event.
“We would also like to give a massive shoutout to every single local business, professional, and organization that generously contributed through raffle/live auction prizes or by purchasing a table and actively participating in the event,” said Grant.
