The Easter Eggspress kicks off the BC Forest Discovery Centre's 2025 season with three days of fun and the annual Easter Scavenger Hunt over the Easter long weekend, April 19-21.

“This event has been a popular spring tradition for more than 10 years and was so popular that we had to expand and celebrate it for the entire three days of the Easter long weekend," said BC Forest Discovery Centre manager, Carol Miller. "As our first event for 2025, we are excited and looking forward to seeing our regular members, businesses and the families making this and many of our events their annual traditions. We are so looking forward to being open for the three days to celebrate Easter.”

This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, Sunday, and Easter Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with goodie bags provided for children who complete the scavenger hunt.

"It's a weekend of unlimited train rides, goodie bags for those on the scavenger hunt, and a great educational experience awaits those attending the celebrations," Miller said. "The Station concession will be open, offering snacks and beverages for those wanting a bite to eat.”

Admission costs $8 for children aged three to 12 with those two and under getting in free. Adults get in for $14 and seniors/youth pay $12.

Tickets are only available for purchase at the door.

The Easter Scavenger Hunt is just the beginning of a season full of special events. Other events planned for the 2025 season include Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Canada's Birthday, an expanded two-day truck show, Kid’s Day, Labour Day, and the Centre's popular Halloween Train and Christmas Express.
