Rain a pain
Sunnydale ladies got off to a rough start with their opening on Sunday April 10. The persistent rain forced the cancellation of the scheduled 18-hole scramble but a spring meeting was held at the clubhouse and a wonderful meal followed by Ben and his kitchen staff.
Regular Tuesday golf was scheduled to start on April 12.
The Thursday night ladies will be starting May 5 with tee off at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Prizes aplenty
In Comox Ladies Thursday golf on April 7, the prizes for low gross and low net scores went to Jan Dafoe and Linda Callender. Second low gross was Nancy Newton and second low net was Linda Broadbent. Jan Dafoe and Nancy Newton tied for the lowest putts. Chip-ins: Carmen VanVeller and Sharon Crowe.
Laurie Appleyard, Nancy Newton, Sharon Crowe, Jan Dafoe, Nancy Riva, Barb Dixson, Marg Siddall and Phyllis Taylor all won prizes from our sponsors.
This league is open to all ladies who would like to play nine holes of golf; you don't have to be a member of the Comox Golf Club in order to play. On April 14 we will meet at 5 for a 5:30 p.m. start.
