Pickleball clinic coming to Comox

The year the 55+ BC Games will be held in Kelowna, Sept. 10-14.

The 55+ Games and the Comox Valley Pickleball Academy are hosting a pickleball clinic, in association with the Step Up Your Game Program, co-sponsored by Viasport and the Province of BC.

The clinic will be held Saturday, March 9, from 3-6 p.m. at the Comox Community Centre. All interested 55+ BC Games past and future participants from

Zone 2 Vancouver Island North, (including Bella Bella, Bella Coola, Bowser, Campbell River, Comox, Courtenay, Cumberland, Gabriola Island, Gold River, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Parksville, Port Alberni, Port Hardy, Port McNeill, Powell River, Qualicum, Tahsis, Tofino, Ucluelet, and adjacent islands) are invited to attend. The clinic will be led by the Comox Valley Pickleball Academy instructors who are certified by the IPTPA. It is geared to boost enthusiasm for the sport and get participants ready for the Games. The clinic cost is $20, which includes the 2019 55+ BC Games membership fee.

Pre-registration is required online at the Comox Valley Pickleball Association website, cvpickleball.ca under “events.” Registration deadline is March 6, and space is limited.
