The École Mark R Isfeld senior boys’ volleyball team won gold at the North Island Championships held over the past weekend.
The team's placement let them qualify for the Island Championships in Victoria next weekend.
The Isfeld Boys finished undefeated throughout the tournament with a record of 6-0. Their wins started on Friday when they defeated Brooks (25-6, 25-15), Highland (25-22, 25-23), and Gulf Islands (25-16, 25-20).
Their luck continued on Saturday, with them picking up wins against Timberline (25-6, 25-18), Wellington (18-25, 24-22, and 15-8), and Ballenas (30-28, 25-16).
Tournament MVP for Isfeld went to Kiefer Stushnoff for his strong serving and powerful and strategic kills. Tournament point leaders were: Carson East (48), Kiefer Stushnoff (34), Daxin Mouldenhauer (13) for Kills. For aces, Kiefer Stushnoff (12), Shay Devine (9), Carson East (7). For blocks: Daxin Mouldenhauer (10), Carson East (7), Kiefer Stushnoff (3).
