The Comox Valley Regional District and Tim Hortons are once again making it possible to celebrate New Year鈥檚 Eve family-style with a free skate and swim from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31 at the CVRD鈥檚 sports centre.
鈥淲e are excited to be able to re-open the sports centre pool for this event,鈥� said Sheila Van Nus, marketing specialist for the CVRD. 鈥淗aving access to both the pool and arenas provides a unique experience for family and friends to enjoy.鈥�
The hot tub and sauna will not be available but are expected to re-open early in the new year.
Tim Hortons will serve complimentary Timbits, hot chocolate and coffee.
