The Courtenay and District Fish & Game Association annual antler measure is just around the corner.
On Saturday, Jan. 20, Courtenay and District Fish and Game extends an invitation to all members and non-members from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to see how they measure up.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their skulls, horns, mounts, or new/old antlers for official measurement by BC Record Keepers, with the potential to secure an entry in the Boone and Crockett record books.
Non-members will be subject to a $5 measuring fee, while Fish and Game members can avail of complimentary measurement services. There is no admission fee for the public, making it an ideal outing for friends and family to explore the Courtenay and District Fish and Game main hall. Participants are welcome to showcase intriguing antlers or mounts, regardless of record qualifications, providing an excellent opportunity for a show and tell. Enthusiasts can share their stories, and lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase during the event. The occasion promises a day of camaraderie and fascination for all attendees.
