Where do we send the bill for Tsolum River pollution?

Dear editor, Four and a half million dollars of taxpayers' money plus over 40 years loss of salmon in the Tsolum river because of an abandoned copper mine.

Dear editor,Four and a half million dollars of taxpayers' money plus over 40 years loss of salmon in the Tsolum river because of an abandoned copper mine.To whom do we send the bill? I assume the company abandoned all of its responsibilities along with the mine.To prevent this form of corporate welfare, I hope our government demands a damage deposit from the next mining operation that graces us with its presence.Hmmm, let's think, what's it worth to have Baynes Sound not be polluted to the point where marine life cannot live for the next 40 years? Is it somewhere in the hundreds of billions or is it simply priceless?
