Dear editor,
There are many great off-leash dog parks in B.C. 鈥� none of which exist in the Comox valley.
The tiny Comox park is too small, and full of large dogs.
The Cumberland dog park is larger and nicer, but again is dominated by large dogs.
I talk to small dog owners all over the Valley, and the conversation often turns to the need for an off-leash park just for small dogs.
Dogs need to socialize and play, in an enclosed space, that is safe. Small dogs often have fear of large dogs 鈥� and justly so as they can get injured.
I encourage other small dog owners to make their voice heard on this matter.
