Dear editor,
In response to the reader concerned with Poilievre, the Black Creek “bully” (Sept. 27), we would remind her that the submarining polling numbers for the current federal government and their leader of highly suspect integrity signal an upcoming election where the majority of voters will be primarily motivated to remove the government in power.
So the question becomes, what or who is most likely able to accomplish that?
Perhaps you are happy with Rachel Blaney’s representation of your concerns in Ottawa. Her efforts to support veterans and the environment are commendable.
But I believe that Canadians across our Dominion are, in their frustration with federal irresponsibility, inefficiency and elitist ideas, likely to return to a conservative government when they next go to the polls.
Whether it’s a majority or not, as they say, “A change is as good as a rest.”
Dale Peters,
Comox
