Dear editor,
Last Saturday the prime minister of Canada made a campaign stop in Campbell River.
Hundreds of people turned out for a fun event, and it was a very positive experience for many.
It is also significant that this event was hosted by First Nations, and that a number of chiefs were in attendance.
The weather was also great, and highlighted the incredible beauty of this wonderful place. By all accounts it was a great event.
I found it curious then to read some reports that speculate that if Prime Minister Harper is visiting, it must be a sign of “desperation.”
Using this logic, I would have to wonder how desperate the NDP must be given the fact that they are bringing Jack Layton here twice.
