Dad good candidate

Dear editor,

Dear editor,

I am asking Comox residents to consider voting for Hugh MacKinnon for council to replace the departed Mr. Ray Crossley.

I have known Hugh MacKinnon for 29 years and have observed and admired his many qualities, which include integrity, a tireless work ethic, compassion, problem-solver extraordinaire, open-mindedness and strength of character.

His extreme generosity to consider donating his town councillor’s salary to the Crossley children’s trust fund does not surprise me in the least.

But his many other admirable qualities, I believe, would make him a first-rate representative of the taxpayers of Comox.

No one I know is more proud of Comox, more appreciative of its history and would be more dedicated to serve its residents. Furthermore, Hugh MacKinnon has the courage to take a stance on something he believes is best after listening and considering all points of view. That is the type of individual who would serve our town best.

And, believe me, my observations have been firsthand!

Scott MacKinnon,

Kingston, Ont.

Editor’s note: Scott MacKinnon is Hugh MacKinnon’s eldest son. He is going to school at Queen’s University in Kingston, but will reside in Comox this summer.
