Dear editor,Two years ago I joined the provincial Liberal party and had the first-time experience recently of voting for our new leader in a regional and preferential voting system.I found the process to be very fair and followed with interest the announcements of the results of the vote at each of the three stages.I also noted that during the announcements two NDP leadership hopefuls were invited to comment on the process and outcome of the race. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was with the content of their comments. It was a totally classless and intellectually void input to an otherwise interesting evening.I wonder if even many of the NDP members found their comments to be so rude and politicized. I guess those are the qualities that make them the leading contenders for their party leadership.John Davis,Courtenay
