Cancer is what cancer is

Dear editor, Re: letters about St. Joe's and cancer. I have high-grade, fast-moving breast cancer.

Dear editor,Re: letters about St. Joe's and cancer.I have high-grade, fast-moving breast cancer. It was diagnosed in 2008, with an ultrasound because of its location. Dr. Z read my film.I believe in the health care system, and had many lines of treatment, and surgeries. If we lived in another country, our medical costs might not be free.Cancer is what it is; you can't change it, you have to believe you can beat it or that there are treatments, that allow you to go on.All this negativity by one person, whom feels cheated somehow? You have to live each day to its fullest, and not sweat the little things. If I could change one thing, it would be E.I. People living with a serious medical issue should be entitled to 50 weeks of unemployment instead of 15 weeks, as it takes eight months to finish treatments.C. Crowther,Comox Valley
