Of Union Bay passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 7, 2002, aged 69. Predeceased by his parents, William and Louise Glover and by his step-son Leonard Barkley. Jack is survived by his loving wife Barb (married 19 years); and by his step-sons: Ken Barkley of Courtenay and Robbie Barkley of Union Bay; and step-daughters: Pat (Tony) Sampson, Laurie (Oopie) Pratt of Union Bay and Rosie (Brad) Chrest of Courtenay; grandchildren: Daryl, Jamie, Crystal, Cheryl, Lindsay, Brodie, Justin, Bryce, Erin, James, Willy and Brittany; and great granddaughter Dakota. Also survived by his sister Pauline (Danny) Lundh of Vancouver, his nephew Paul (Kathy), and daughter Emily of Vancouver, niece Tricia, and by many friends.

Jack was born and raised in Union Bay; was a Logger all his life and retired from many years of service in Gold River. He loved sports, puzzles, chain saw work and time with his family.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at his church, “Union Bay Coal Hills” on Wednesday, December 11th where friends and family gathered with spiritual guidance from family friend, Pastor Gordon Carter.

COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 Ryan Road entrusted with cremation arrangements. Donations made in memory of Jack Glover to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon, PO Box 1225, Comox, BC V9N 7Z8 would be appreciated.
