William “Bill” A. Lewis passed away in Courtenay, BC on May 2nd, 2004 aged 49 years. Bill was predeceased by his father Milo Oliver Lewis and his mother Whilma Vance Cavelle. He is survived and will be sadly missed by his son Terry Lewis of Alaska; his daughters: Trionna Lewis (Jason) of Holden, Alberta and Billie Lewis of Comox; his grandsons: Jason Jr. and Liam; his brothers: Phil (Margie) Lewis of Edmonton, Garth Lewis and Dean Sorvisto of Edmonton; his sisters: Peggy (Malcolm) Wilson of Calgary and Brenda Lewis; his nieces and nephews: Owen, Megan, Milo, Troy, Tria and Corey (all Lewis). Bill became a member of the Royston Lions Club in the past year. He was a cook on seismic rigs overseas and camp cook for such places as HMCS Quadra. In his leisure Bill liked to bake bread, spend time near the ocean and visit friends. Bill was very active socially and was selfless when it came to his children and family. He was always supportive and was always the first to tell a joke. A Memorial Service in celebration of his life was held on Thursday, May 6th, 2004 at 1:00 pm from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY, BC. In lieu of flowers donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. & Yukon, P.O. Box 1225, Comox, B.C.
