1947 ~ 2004

Passed away peacefully at her home after a 2 year battle with cancer in the presence of her loving family as they were praying together on Saturday, January 17, 2004. She was predeceased by her father, James Pollard. May is survived by her loving husband, Gale, of 35 years; son Kevin (Tabatha) Miller of Courtenay; daughter Cindy (Jean-Marc) Jaquier of Nanaimo; grandchildren: Emma Jaquier, Maxime Jaquier, Finnian Miller and Victoria Miller; mother Gladys; brothers: Art (Jackie) Pollard of Edmonton and Doug (Diana) Pollard of Courtenay; sisters: Gwen (Ted) Exley of Williams Lake and Betty (Yens) Reinert of Courtenay, and many nieces and nephews. May was active in her church, taught bible study for nearly 30 years and was an exceptional music co-ordinator. In her leisure she enjoyed painting, cooking and crafts. The Miller family would like to thank all of the home care nurses and Dr. Millar and Dr. Gornall for their care and kindness. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at St. Peter’s Church, 218 Church Street, Comox at 1:00 p.m with Father Alexis Nikkel officiating. Burial in Courtenay Civic Cemetery. Donations in May’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, #102 - 1509 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, B.C. V9N 2K6, would be appreciated.
