Vincent Jean-Paul Lacaille

Lacaille, Vincent Jean-Paul of Qualicum Beach, BC passed away on May 24, 2002 at the age of 81 years. Survived by his loving wife, Cicely; 3 sons, Charles (Carolyn), Greg (Cindy) and Roger (Lesley); 1 daughter, Kathleen (Kevin); 10 grandchildren: sister-in-law, Berthe Lacaille of St. Eustace, P.Q.; nephews, Michel, Pierre and Andre and 1 niece, Diane.


Paul served with the RCAF Bomber Command from 1940-1945 as a Pilot with the Alouette Squadron based in England and did a number of flights over Europe during WWII for which he received the Distinguished Flying Medal. After the war, he flew in the bush of Northern Alberta, then with a Geophysical Company searching for oil for a number of years. He then rejoined the RCAF in 1952 as a flight instructor until 1958. He then served the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) until 1986 moving to the Qualicum area in 1985.


There will be no service by request.
