Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital E.C.U. in Co-mox, B.C. on Thursday, March 17, 2005. He was predeceased by his father Harold; mother Anne; brothers: Walt, Doug and Stan. Victor is survived by his daughters: Sharon (Rodney), Donna (Barry), Teresa (Robert) and Elaine (Pekka); grandchildren: Selena, Byron, Clinton, Amanda, Samantha and Justine; great-grandchild Abby; devoted wife and friend Dorothy Lewis; brother Roy (Shirley); sister Hilda (George) and many nieces and nephews. Victor was born, raised and married in Victoria, B.C. In 1962 he moved his family to Campbell River for work in his field as a sheet metal journeyman with Hughes Bros. and in 1967 he purchased C.R. Heating & Sheet Metal. For many years Vic enjoyed the contacts, associations and friends he made in his business life. Vic’s life-long passion for football started with being a player, then coach for the Victoria Vampires, followed by many memorable Grey Cup and Super Bowl parties over the years. A special thanks to all the staff at St. Joseph’s E.C.U. wing for their dedication and care to our Dad. Vic will be fondly remembered as the life of the party. A Gathering to Celebrate & Remember Vic’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion hall, 301-11th Avenue, Campbell River, B.C. on Saturday, March 26, 2005 between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. ISLAND FUNERAL SERVICES/ELK FALLS CREMATORIUM, 909 ISLAND HIGHWAY, CAMPBELL RIVER entrusted with funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C. & Yukon, P.O. Box 741, Campbell River, B.C. V9W 6J3 would be appreciated.
