Thomas John Garneau passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Thursday, January 8th, 2004. Tom was born in St. Paul, Alberta, March 1st, 1939, he was 64.

He is survived by his loving wife Iris of 45 1/2 years; sons: Ron (Lisa) Garneau of Campbell River, Ray (Lynne) Garneau of Terrace, B.C.; daughter: Denise (Bob) Sheridan of Lillooet, BC; grandchildren: Janine, Jessica, Josh, Tanner, Scott, Mitchell, Cole, and Erin; brothers: Ron Garneau of Prince George, Alex (Donna) Garneau of Vernon, and Richard Garneau of Cranbrook; sisters: Louise Garneau of White Rock, Lorraine Marks of Campbell River and Kathy (Barry) Shawara of McBride, BC; together with many nieces and nephews. Tom loved to golf and fish, and put his creative talents to work in his garden. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend, who was very proud of his entire family. He will be ever loved and sadly missed by all.

A Memorial Celebration of Tom’s life was held on Monday, January 12th, 2004, from The Chapel of Comox Valley Funeral Home and Crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay, BC.
