Hymers, Thomas Ellwood
December 16, 1941 -March 13, 2002
In his 88th year and surrounded by his family Dad peacefully passed away at St. Joseph’s in Comox after a courageous struggle to stay with his family and friends. He was born in Mornington township, Ontario to a farming family and stayed in the area until leaving for WW2 with the 100th Battery Quelph 4th Light Anti-air Craft Regiment. After returning to Canada he remained in Ontario until moving to BC in 1975. Predeceased by parents Caroline (Maddess) and Samuel, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, his daughter-in-law Candice, son-in-law Doc, and 2 infant great-grandchildren. Survived by his wife Irma, sister Bertha, daughters: Dian Anderson (Neil) and Yvonne Holmes (Gerald), son David and former wife Eileen, 2 sisters-in-law, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
