April 9, 1934 - February 29, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda on Feb 29th, after a long illness.

She is survived by her husband, Joe, her children, Monika (Roger) and Dieter (Tiggi), her grandchildren, Corwin, Sean and Jaiden and her great grandchildren Linden Belle and Emilia.

Linda was born in Halberstadt, Germany. She came to Canada in 1952 where she worked at the fisherman's CO OP in Prince Rupert. It was there she met and fell in love with Joe. They were married in 1954.

They lived in a few places, Prince Rupert, Vancouver and Palo Alto, California. They fell in love with the Comox Valley and in 1969 they opened Runge's Deli in Courtenay and ran it until 2005.

We would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and care aides that looked after Linda in her final months.

A celebration of life will be held at the Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Rd, Courtenay on Mar 28th at 1:00pm
