FEERE, Shirley May


May 18, 1928 - August 6, 2002 of Woodstock, Ontario.


Shirley was born in Stratford, Ontario and passed away at St. Joseph’s General Hospital, 23 days following her grandson, Robbie’s Port Hardy to Victoria Bike Ride for the Chemotherapy Unit at St. Joseph’s General Hospital Chemotherapy Unit and her 17 month battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Cliff Greve in 1976. She is survived by her present husband Chuck Feere, daughters Linda (Cec) Couch, Woodstock, Ontario, Lois (Ralph) Thompson, Comox, BC, step daughters Leanne (Al) Rodine, Dawson Creek, Dawn (Kelly) Purdue, Kelowna, grandchildren Lisa and Jacquie, Andrew, Lisa, Kenny, David and Robbie, Ben, Joshua and Luke, Kaitlin and Colin, great grandchildren Alexis, Victoria and Stephen.


Grandma will always be remembered for her fun, warm hearted, kind and loving nature. She found the good and positive in all situations that life brought her and nurtured that in all who knew her.


Mom loved children and they were her greatest source of pleasure. She coached youth bowling for many years.


A Memorial Service will be held for Shirley at St. Joseph’s General Hospital Chapel, Monday, August 12 at 1:00 p.m.


In lieu of flowers donations to St. Joseph’s Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.


Until we meet her again, we who loved her will miss her and try to live out the good, positive, loving qualities she instilled in us.
