Zinio, Sandy

1918 - 2006

After 86 great years, followed by a 1 year battle with cancer, Sandy (Saint) Zinio, born November 1st, 1918 in Trail, BC passed away March 23rd at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He will be dearly missed by his survivors, wife Marjorie; sons Dennis (Janet), Patrick (Barbara); grandson Steven (Tess); granddaughter Laura (Kevin); and four great-grandsons.

Sandy was a veteran of W.W.II serving with the 165th Squadron in the R.C.A.F. as a Flight Engineer. He worked for Cominco in Trail for many years and retired as a Senior Buyer from the Purchasing Department. Sandy skied Red Mountain with his family and friends and continued skiing and golfing in the Comox Valley until health would no longer allow him to do so. Flowers are gratefully declined and no service will be held at Sandy’s request.
