Ruth Martha, 88, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025. Born in Munsterberg, Germany on June 25, 1936, Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Ray in 2024.

Ruth is survived by sons Kim (Wendy) and Brian (Dawn), grandchildren Alex, Jaime and Stuart, and great-grandchildren Iona, Andriy, Innis and Marko.

After immigrating to Canada with Ray in 1958, they settled in Comox in the 1980s where Ruth operated Highland Alterations (1982-1995) and later worked at Comox Menswear Shop for 17 years, becoming known for her expert tailoring skills.

Ruth loved travel, gardening, and animals, especially her German Shepherd, Duke. She was an avid SPCA supporter.

The family thanks Dr. Gee, Classic Life Care Comox Valley, neighbors and her friend Carol for their support during Ruth's final years.
