In Loving Memory ~

With God's grace and a kiss on the cheek from her son, Ruth passed away peacefully in her Courtenay, BC home on November 21, 2023, at age 85.

Born in Moncton, NB, raised as a farm girl on the Scotch Settlement, NB; Ruth's love for animals, gardening, and baking, instilled by her late parents Donald and Vera, flourished throughout her life.

Ruth's greatest adventure started with the love of her late husband Kenneth, as a military wife and mother raising their three boys.

Moving throughout Canada and settling in Courtenay, Ruth was a dedicated member of the local St. George's United Church and volunteer with the Public Health Baby Clinic. She was known for her kind heart and glowing smile, as a friend, wife, mother, grammy and great grammy.

Ruth was an avid baker, always making favorite treats for church functions and loved ones.

Ruth's most precious time was spent with her family and friends, consistently putting them first, and there with a warm embrace or tin of cookies in times of need.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband Kenneth and son David Steeves.

She will be deeply missed by her brother Jim (Carol); sister-in-law June (Austin); sons: Terry (Teresa), Greg (Carlene); grandchildren: Dwayne (Chantel), Aaron, Zoe (Peter), Michelle (Aaron), Karen, Leanne; great grandchildren: Cody, Damien, Lacey, Matthew, Arabella, and Everett; along with several adoring nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on Saturday, December 9th at St. George's United Church on Fitzgerald at 10 am with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetic Association.

Condolences may be offered at www.telfordtoneffboyd.ca
