In loving memory ~

Mom was born in Sandon B.C. to Henry & Jean Lindblad. They moved to Sheep Creek where her Dad worked in the coal mine. She moved to Nelson where she met her future husband Bud. They married in 1946 & had two sons Doug & Gord. They moved to the island where they lived in Duncan & Maple Bay before settling in Cumberland. Ruth is survived by her sons Doug, Gord (Cathy), grandchildren Shirley (Ron), Jeff (Leah), Mark (Nicole), Graig (Amy) & Carol. Also by great grandchildren Lucas, Ewan, Deklan, Ashton, Georgia, Andrew, Jenika & Maraike. She is also survived by her brother Roy in Calgary along with several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bud & sister Charlotte. Mom worked as an L.P.N. in the Cumberland hospital & later volunteered at the Child Development Centre in Cumberland.

In her earlier years she enjoyed golfing at Sunnydale golf course. She was also a great cook.

We would like to thank the amazing staff at Glacier View Lodge, Cumberland Lodge & Casa Loma for the care & compassion they showed for mom as well as for her family.
