The Life ~

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Rosemary Holman on May 21, 2024, at Ocean Front Seniors Village in Courtenay, B.C., at the age of 92 years and 10 months. She joins in eternity her husband Charles Holman and her youngest daughter, Irene Sevcik (Petr Sevcik). Left to cherish Rosemary's memory are her daughters, Sandra Holman (Michel Potvin) and Joan Holman (Leigh Lindsay), her grandchildren: Sarah, David, and Nicolas Potvin; Caitlin and Christopher Lindsay; Petra Macklam-Harron (Sevcik), Jana, and Mika Sevcik; as well as five great-grandchildren: No茅mie, R茅becca, Charlotte, Lincoln, and Cillian. She will also be sorely missed by her many friends and relatives. The family is deeply grateful to the staff of the Sandpiper Unit at Ocean Front for their compassionate care and support during Rosemary's final days. A Celebration of Life will be organized at a later date.

Born in Comox, B.C., Rosemary grew up on Quadra Island and in the Comox Valley. She was the youngest of 4 children. After moving to the mainland, she met and married Charles Holman and they eventually settled in Burnaby B.C. Rosemary worked tirelessly with Charles to overcome the challenges and celebrate the victories of their family business. In retirement, Rosemary and Charles travelled extensively in North America in their camper, as well as going to Europe, Asia, and Australia. Her adventurous spirit led her to cruise down the Amazon. Rosemary loved people and was active in several volunteer organizations such as Girl Guides, Meals on Wheels, Glacier View Lodge Auxiliary, St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, and the Salvation Army.

Rosemary was a driving force for the family. We honour her positive energy, her generosity, and her thoughtfulness.

She will remain in our hearts forever.
